On September 26, 2024, Hurricane Helene devastated the mountains of North Carolina causing over $53 Billion in damages. The storm and its aftermath caused over 1,900 landslides and damaged over 7,000 miles of roads, more than 1,250 bridges/culverts and an estimated 150,000 homes. An unknown number of people lost their lives and countless more experienced unfathomable trauma.
For Trinity, Jodi and Katie, an expedition that started off as a rescue and supply mission on horseback in western North Carolina, quickly grew into a far greater mission. It became clear that the ‘People of the mountains’ needed direct, individualized attention that was going to be reliable for the long rebuilding process.
We believe in putting our hearts and hands into the recovery process, providing not only material support, but a personalized connection that empowers communities to rise stronger.
From “Boots on the Ground” to compassionate care, we are committed to working alongside those in need, ensuring they feel the warmth of a community that cares. Through donations and volunteer efforts, Soul to Soles’ Disaster Relief helps turn the devastation of disaster into hope, one family at a time.
